There Was An Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe (Updated)

There was an old woman
Who lived in a shoe
She wasn’t greedy
Or she’d have asked for two
She had so many children
She didn’t know what to do
I know what you’re thinking
But her sister was too
She gave them some broth
Without any bread
As she was saving her pennies
And it had gone to her head
The she whipped them all soundly
And sent them to bed
But they called child protection
And she got prison instead

  1. Genuinely, I bought a similar birthday card for my friend today. It said:

    There was an old woman
    Who lived in a shoe
    She has so many children
    Her fanny fell off.

I cried laughing. (Any Americans reading this – fanny in England means lady bits…)
