Goodbye Summer

Summer waved goodbye in tired shades of gold. I watched it depart from the top of the street, as leaves swept past my shoulders. There was a pull, an inclination to turn and watch the Fall gust in, but I wasn’t quite ready. So, instead, I lent against a dampening brick wall, shades of what was to come enveloping me, and waved right back. Goodbye Summer.

  1. Goodbye summer. I will miss you and wearing shorts and sweating like a ditch digger! LOL NOT! Sorry I love fall and winter but I do love the flower! Yay! I will miss them but they are still here! Probably happy for the break! 😀
