Remembered Summers

A romantic pull,
 Summers past do hold,
 The sun always bright,
 Sea sparkling with pulsing waves,
All that forms a memory is polished to a gleam.
 Were they as such,
 Was it all so perfect?
 I doubt it.
But sometimes, it is better to bask in a brilliant promise,
Than to mire in a remembrance gone astray.
My summers are no different to the other delusional seasons,
But it is nice to dream so,
And I do like the colour of the skies.
