You peel back the curtain
To a bitter, winter’s day.
You see a long drive,
Wet feet, lots of coffee.
The child at your knee
Fingers gripping, breath catching,
Sees white magic.
It’s all in the eye.

Absolutely adore this! When it snowed, I took my Montessori class to the playground and built a menagerie of snow creatures for the kids to play on. Kids definitely see things differently when it snows š
