Shadows

Iflah Laraib writes wonderful poetry, she deserves far more reads. Please check her work out.
Richard

just a weird thought

Some nights I see
Shadows dance
Round and about
Gently they prance.
Making patterns
On my roofs and walls
Like a kaleidoscope
Of perceptions and recalls.
Shadows that feel
Like people once loved
And then forgotten
Their memories, handcuffed.
At others they done
A grotesque form
Trying to strip
My soul from warmth.
Murderous hands
and faces emerge
From the darkness,
Where walls converge.
While I twist and turn
In failed attempts to sleep,
For I constantly hear
Someone weep.
