Am I A Sinner?

Well, not in the literal sense because I’m a very good boy, (I am you know) but because I’ve never read a Harry Potter book. THE SHOCK!

This could be considered blasphemy for a fantasy writer, so I used my birthday vouchers to buy the first two.

Yes, that is my thumb.

I’ve just read the first two chapters and I’m enjoying it. Good job, too, because I’ve put a Haruki Murakami book on hold so that I didn’t put this one off.

Anyhoo, we’ll see what happens next. I don’t want anyone telling me what happens, though, as that will spoil the magic.

  1. I looooooooooooooooooooooove Harry Potter!!!! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–. My favorite character is Luna! πŸŒΈπŸ¦„πŸ‘ΈπŸΌ

  2. I am so ashamed to fess up that I have not read Harry Potter. I must rectify this or be the last hold out. πŸ™‚

      1. Rebel here too. I saw the movies, my kids were too young to read. My friends waited in line while I applauded their dedication. I love magic n the themes in them. Favorite character, well, that would be the guy that just died, main sinister soul w some heart.

  3. I’m actually a little bit jealous. I would love to be able to read them with fresh eyes again. But then I suppose part of why they captured me so much was that I was of the perfect generation to grow with the characters. Anywho, I hope you enjoy them! 😊

  4. Are you kidding me??? OMG I’ver read them and listen to them on discs because her use of language is amazing and well, I want to go to Hogwarts, but that’s a different story, right? Have fun?

  5. harry potter books have been my solace since i was 11. I was the lucky ones to have read them as soon as they were out. Do read them my friend. You are clearly in for one hell of a magical ride. I can on and on about HP as i am a huge potterhead. But I won’t spoil it for you πŸ™‚ Enjoy.

  6. I held out for several years..then read the third book…then went back to first and second…glad I did it that way as didn’t think much of second…then I had to fight to read them before my daughter did just in case they weren’t suitable…!

  7. Dude, I’ve been a fantasy junkie since birth, and I didn’t even pick up LoTR until last year! You know what they say: “better late than never” (???) Good for you for picking them up. They’re not nearly as good as those of, hmm, let’s say, Tolkien or Clarke or Cooper. But, still, they’re fantastic. xx Arielle
