50 Word Stories: Such is November

I wake to a sugarcoated dawn kissed by mist, Halloween gone and with it October. November’s slipped into another year like a cold hand in glove, the last remaining flower petals crisp and broken. The year passes with metronomic effectiveness marking the passage of these human years. C’est la vie.

  1. There is always a line in your short stories that catches my attention. This time is was all 4 of them.

    “Metronomic effectiveness” … yes, if only there was a way to slow down the metronome during the really good parts 🙂
