Of Time and Its Appreciation

Objects 125.jpg

Time stalled when I saw her that first day all big, dark eyes like pooled oil awaiting ignition, a spark, that fire. I thought about her often time flying too fast then, never allowing the minutes I would wish for nor the undiluted seconds to linger. When I touched her, when I dared, the balance of the universe shifted in my favour. My eureka moment came in that millionth of a second when my fingers brushed hers for although it was momentary, I never lost, nor left it.
