February Author Update

These posts are usually reserved for my Facebook Author Page, but as seen as I’m here less and less, I thought this might explain.

February Author Update

Where’s the year going!

smiley-1770265_640

Second month in and as busy as ever. Thanks to almost a month of categorising, tagging and collating information, we have lift-off… well, almost. As well as cracking on with Nimbus, Book 1 of The Theatre of the Moon Trilogy, I’ve actually had a chance to insert some of the chapters I’ve been trialling into the following two books. All three novels now have sections within them as well as Nimbus being fully penned. I actually have so many spare chapters that I may even start to post some of them. I hope this will give people a taste of the stories to come. We shall see.

As regards my shorter work, after a disaster which I can’t remember if I told you all about, where I not only lost everything on my computer but the back-up exploded too, (not literally) I have managed to not only find everything I lost but also some I’d forgotten I even had. (Shakes his head!) Accordingly, some have been sent out on submission and others I’ve stashed.

The month ahead looks like one of rewrites and additional diary entries for Nimbus (Mortimer Headlock does like to pen his thoughts). I shall enjoy writing each new word.

So, until I have anything more substantial to tell you, I’ll sign off with a ‘Have A Great February’. See you soon.

Richard

Just Rose by author Leanne Marshall.

‘A girl, a dog, a pink car – what could possibly go wrong?’

Just Rose

The unexpected death of Rose’s beloved Aunt ends up being a driving force in her uneventful life. She gives up her lonely unfulfilled big city existence for the country home and life from cherished childhood memories. Can it live up to them? All she wants is to find her place in the world, finally find the happiness and independence she has been searching for and hopefully this move will do it… hopefully.

With her little dog Muffin by her side and a much needed new friend in the form of Abby it does seem possible. That is until a not so ideal first encounter with the handsome local Laird of the Munro Estate sends her spiralling from young professional woman to hormonal bundle of goo. The chemistry undeniable but with him not seemingly on the market this might not be the place for her after all. Thrust into the world of not so quiet country living will Rose ever find true love?

A roller coaster of emotions and a whole lot of country charm there’s one thing for sure Rose is certainly not going to be bored anymore!

Into Eternity Paperback Release!

Author’s Note: A very big thank you to all of you who have asked and then waited patiently for Into Eternity the Paperback Edition. I am delighted to say it is now released.
I can only apologies again for the delay. I knew it had been a long time when I clicked on it in Amazon and Etta James starting singing At Last.

Here’s a glimpse:

“So this is what eternity looks like.” Prince Grella

Queen Serena and her allies have fled the Nordic massacre, taking Princess Linka with them. For Jean, it’s heartbreak; for Merryweather and the abandoned Aurora, far worse. Not even the return of a broken Prince Grella and a dramatic escape from an obliterated Hvit softens the blow of their loss. Tempers flare and the pursuit resumes.

Leaving the Arctic ice behind, Jean and the others must reconcile with both current and past deaths, as they close in on the Baltic home of the hated Duke Gorgon. Here, their enemies gather and confrontation is inevitable.

Under Merryweather’s frustrating tutelage, Jean marches from one infuriating revelation to another, but as the lies unravel and the truth unfurls, he discovers the Britannian is not the fool he’s taken him for. The enigmatic Merryweather appears the key to the greatest mystery of all. But will he ever show his true colors?

In the stunning climax to The Eternals Series, a brooding Jean must do what he’s never done before: place his trust in others. For only at the end of all things, as the sun dies and Shangri-La falls, will Jean know what it means to step Into Eternity.

New Author Friends Page (UPDATE!)

I think I now have everybody on who has asked. Due to there being a lot of people, I have split the page into four sections to try and highlight you all a bit more. I’ve done my best, but it was hard work. I might add more sections depending on if/how many more folk would like adding. Please feel free to click HERE and if you would prefer being slotted into another category just leave a comment.

Thanks everyone and I hope it helps

New Author Page For Friends

Dear all;

I have just published a new page on my site. This addition is dedicated to all my good pals in the book business. I have placed links to as many of you as I could think of off the top off my head. If you’re my pal, your books are clean, and you would like me to add you to the list, please comment below. Leave me your links and I will add you. Also, if you’re already on there and would like to be worded differently (I gave up halfway down) don’t hesitate to correct me.

As some of you know, I have the memory of a goldfish, so this sort of intricate stuff is extremely hard. Don’t be afraid to ask to be added, I can assure you I’ll be more embarrassed at not having done so than you will at asking.

This is just my way of hopefully promoting some wonderful people with wonderful books.

HERE is the page link

I hope it helps

An Unexpected Ride

Author’s Note: I was recently treated to an app that makes scripts from your notes. I have found this a real joy to use as I can pour myself into dialogue whenever I like and the whole thing comes out clean for later use. In fact, I can’t stop. Here is a little scene from my WIP. The great Victorian investigator Mortimer Headlock, and his associate Miss Grace Grace, are inspecting Albion’s latest aeronautical device. The aeronaut, Clarence Periwinkle, is their host.

PS: If it’s any help to you, the app is called Untitled. My copy is on iOS and is currently half price. (Don’t laugh, I’m skint!)
