Introductions

Hello everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you enjoy the stories and poetry posted here. Most of the works are now new after having given the site a seven-year makeover.

As for me, what can I say? I live to write and write to live. The best of both worlds. I write far too much and hoard most of what I do, hence here. My website is a little place to highlight, and hopefully have people enjoy, the ones that got away.

I am the English author of The Eternals dark fantasy series – (Please see more about my Novels on their own page).. I have featured in Expanded Field Journal, Love Letters To Poe, After The Pause, and feel privileged to have appeared in many more.

When not writing, I love reading, running, all sports, and walking through beautiful scenery. If I lived in view of a mountain with a stream running through the bottom of my garden, I’d never resurface. I have the world’s worse memory and have caffeine-laced blood.

I have two sayings: 1. I’d rather be a happy pauper than a wealthy zombie. 2. Never give up on your dreams, and never let anyone tell you you’re not good enough. You can be.

PS: You’re supposed to write these in third person, and professionally I would, but when dealing with friends, that’s far too impersonal.

  1. How has it taken me this long to find you here?! I’m so glad you’ve committed yourself to writing this way, my friend. Retail murdered me, also, and now I commit myself full time to writing and being the best mom I can be. Authonomy was an enormous help to us both, it seems!

  5. Richard I think the last message I left you a message, I prematurely thanked you for following me! I am embarrassed then I discovered I was having problems getting onto wordpress, an ISPN problem for some UK members.     I have been following your blog lately(less than 2 months I think)…I am a kind of person who likes or comments only if I really loved it(though am not an expert,it has been my habit)….I like all of your works(from the day I followed)…Your poems are simple but powerful…beautifully penned…Almost addicted to this blog…

    1. Thank you very much, Jane, you too. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I could, and do, write all day and never get bored.
      The picture was taken by my wife when we were in Norway. It is a place pronounced ‘shy’ but not spelled like that. I like the picture and it’s appropriate for me LOL

  46. I love your wife’s photo. It is wonderful. I am pleased you are happy writing. I worked in the Music industry for 40 odd years and always wanted to write….I am happiest writing too…even if no-one ever reads it I don’t mind. Though, of course if they do I am overjoyed. I look forward to coming back and reading more and seeing more wonderful photos. Talented family! 🙂
